Sorry for not posting lately, but as some of you already know I was in NYC hosting the release party of Van Muller’s new album as well as CL’s first anniversary. It was a hard task to plan such an event from afar (being that I live in PA), but with a little help from my friends and technology everything worked out and it was great!
The theme of the party was a rock n’ roll soiree; it started at Rockwood Music Hall with a concert by Van Muller singing songs off her brand spanking new album Find Yourself Here. After that we all moved to The Griffin for the after party, which was beautifully decorated with Casa de Lola’s color (thanks Karim!) where DJ Rumor was waiting to rock the floor.
As guests arrived they were greeted with coconut water cocktails by Vita Coco, bubbly flutes of Chandon and delicious gourmet pizza by Serafina Meatpacking (thanks to our amazing sponsorship!)
The most celebrated girl of the night heated the stage again; this time singing some of the most amazing covers songs by Divinyls, Etta James and the Rolling Stones. Plus she rocked a Like a Virgin look (by Patricia Field) that would definitely make Madonna jealous.
Then it was time for Underground Saints to shine! The rockers from PA delivered a sick performance making every single person in the room dance and talk about them for the rest of the night. Thank you guys so much for making this night extra special.
Casa de Lola’s team couldn’t make it (since they are in each corner of the globe!), but were well represented by Larissa Modenesi the mastermind behind our design concept (and a wonderful friend). Thank you Larissa for making sure that our site looks as cool as it can be.
A special thanks goes to Manny Del Castillo, Griffin’s partner, for all the support and to make sure that our party was the success that it was. Also to his beautiful wife Paula Del Castillo for designing our invitations and for helping host our special night. Your friendship is greatly appreciated!
Last but not least many thanks to my better half and partner in crime who is always pushing me to take Casa de Lola to the next level. With your ongoing support I am sure that we are going to make it to many more anniversaries party!
For some the party continued until the wee hours of the night after we moved to Bungalow 8, where Uncle Mike was spinning. I had a blast and I can’t wait to show part 2 of this post tomorrow, with all of our guests and more details of the party. Stay tuned!
