By Mallory Lewis-
If you are one of the few remaining women on the planet who have not read Fifty Shades of Grey, I’m not quite sure what is stopping you! The book is written by E L James, and captivates your attention from the start. Anastasia Steele is a young, naïve, and prudent college student covering for her sick roommate who was intended to interview Mr. Fifty Shades, Christian Grey. Anastasia discovers she cannot get Christian off her mind and eventually the feelings are revealed mutual.
Christian Grey is powerful, wealthy, and tantalizingly handsome… of course, and yet dealing with a twisted past. Throughout the book, they encounter many challenges to their developing relationship, one of which is the overriding theme through each chapter and the sole reason the book is meant for mature audiences. Christian Grey only wants Anastasia on a physically passionate level that crosses numerous boundaries and keeps you turning the page to see what will arise next in their BDSM situation. Anastasia’s inner conflict between her “innergoddess” and voice of reason makes her character relatable and one heck of a storyline. It isn’t very often you see the female side of this sexual situation.
As they learn about each other, which is only over a span of a few weeks, the reader is taken on a wild ride of sexually explicit bedroom scenarios all wrapped up in a lengthy contract used to reach and understand their hard limits and outline the rules of the dominant/submissive persuasion. If you are even slightly interested at this point, pick it up. Once you get past the forced word-hoarding…you’ll surely take something from this passionate, not so vanilla, love story.

…I could not put these books down and read the trilogy in 1 week. Totally loved it and totally recommend it!
