Gitane means “gypsy” in French, but at this French-Moroccan bistro in the neighborhood of Nolita, NY you won’t find palm readers or vagabonds wandering around. This popular and always crowded place with affordable and delicious food, is the epitome of the “it” café; a great place to come sit outdoors and people watch. One of their most popular dishes is the Moroccan Couscous, served with red peppers, raisins, toasted pine nuts, hummus and eggplant (for meet lovers organic chicken and sausage are optional). Casa de Lola loves and highly recommends this place.
